New Delhi/Kolkata, October 06, 2026: As West Bengal gears up for its biggest celebration of the year, Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt. Ltd. (Delhi) – a wholly owned subsidiary of National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) – is adding to the festive cheer with a new campaign featuring renowned Bengali actor Abir Chatterjee, extending its association with the popular star beyond Mother Dairy Mishti Doi to its Milk and Curd categories.
Rolling out in the run-up to Durga Puja, the two-month campaign – featuring a series of four new DVCs – taps into a time when homes and neighbourhoods across the state come alive with celebration, togetherness and traditions, strengthening the brands connect across everyday dairy occasions. With Abir bringing his characteristic warmth and local connect to the communication, Mother Dairy aims to become a more familiar part of consumers’ everyday dairy choices – from a glass of milk to the bowl of curd that finds its place across households.
Talking about the new campaign, Mr. Jayatheertha Chary, Managing Director, Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt. Ltd. (Delhi), said, “West Bengal is an important growth market for our dairy business, and we see significant opportunity to deepen our presence across everyday categories such as Milk and Curd. Mishti Doi has helped us build a strong and affectionate connect with consumers in the state, and our association with Abir has further strengthened that relationship through a familiar and distinctly local voice. As we extend this association to Milk and Curd, our ambition is to take the trust and familiarity we have built into more everyday consumption occasions and bring the wider dairy portfolio closer to households across West Bengal. With Durga Puja around the corner, there could not be a more fitting time to begin this new chapter and strengthen our relationship with consumers in the state.”
The Milk campaign, with a special focus on Mother Dairy Cow Milk, and the Curd campaign bring alive relatable consumer occasions while reinforcing the brand’s legacy and trust. Together, the DVCs carry forward a simple idea – the affection consumers in West Bengal have shown Mother Dairy Mishti Doi can now find a wider expression across the brand’s dairy portfolio.
Elaborating on the association, celebrated Actor Abir Chatterjee added, “Over the last few years, Mother Dairy Mishti Doi has been a delightful part of that story for me, and I’ve loved seeing how warmly people have embraced it. Extending this journey to Milk and Curd feels very natural, because these are the things that quietly show up in our homes every single day. I’m happy to be part of this new chapter, and I hope these films bring a smile to households this festive season.”
The newly introduced campaign will be amplified through digital, OTT, outdoor and other relevant consumer touchpoints, creating sustained visibility through the festive period and beyond. The campaign reflects Mother Dairy’s larger focus on strengthening its dairy portfolio in West Bengal by combining its established brand equity with locally relevant communication and deeper consumer engagement.
