Gaurav Sareen a new brand ambassador for Monkey Shoulder

Monkey Shoulder is a bartender’s favourite and a premium blended malt scotch for the next generation of whisky connoisseurs.

Gaurav, as the Monkey Shoulder ambassador in India, embodies the Monkey Shoulder attitude: youthful at heart, outgoing, fun, pleasant, sometimes stupid, always loveable, and willing to break the rules when it comes to upsetting the Whisky industry.

He began his career as a management trainee at Crowne Plaza Gurugram before being promoted to an assistant restaurant manager, where he was in charge of the Brazilian restaurant Wildfire and the 24-hour bar Connexions.

He then went on to work as the manager of Spectra, the Leela Ambience Gurugram’s premium, and award-winning multicuisine restaurant.

He earned wine certificates from the WSET (Level 3) and the Court of Master Sommeliers in addition to his profession.

He moved on to Tulleeho, a beverage training, and consultancy company, as a project manager for north, where he produced specialized training programs on beer, wine, and spirits appreciation.

He had a brief stint as the General Manager of PassCode hospitality before taking on the role of Brand Ambassador at Monkey Shoulder, where he was responsible for the operations of PCO, New Delhi’s foremost speakeasy-style cocktail bar (featured on the World’s 500 Best Bars list and 50 Best Discovery List in 2021), among other things.

Monkey Shoulder, according to Gaurav, is significantly ahead of the typical drinking curve, reducing whisky’s usual serious-oak-leather-cigar’ exclusivity and making it a younger, bolder, sexier drink.
