Gillette India and Krafton partner for BGMI grooming range

Gillette India, the country’s foremost grooming specialist, has partnered with KRAFTON Inc., the creators of the popular game BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA (BGMI), to deliver limited-edition grooming items to the Indian market.

Gillette has long bolstered gaming and e-sports on a worldwide scale, but this association marks the brand’s first step into the Indian market. KRAFTON, Inc., a renowned South Korean gaming conglomerate, has played a key role in propelling the rise of e-sports in India, with BGMI frequently ranking among the top mobile games in the country.

This collaboration is a dream come true for BGMI fans, with limited-edition razors chosen specifically for gamers. The Gillette MACH3 BGMI razor includes a BGMI themed pop-socket for better grip and gaming, while the Gillette FUSION5 BGMI razor has a special handle with the classic BGMI helmet, making it a collector’s item.

Saurabh Bajpai, Gillette India’s Senior Director, and Country Leader said that in its 120-year history, Gillette has been one of the well-known supporters of sport and athletes, and they have carried that legacy into the exciting and rapidly-growing world of e-sports in recent years. The collaboration with KRAFTON INC., and BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA is the first step in their commitment to promote the dreams of young Indian gamers by giving them unique shaving goods that are for BGMI enthusiasts.

Also, Gillette and 7 Sea, an Ampverse portfolio e-sports team and a rising star in the Indian e-sports scene, have announced a strategic agreement to launch the ‘Gillette 7 Sea Invitational,’ an exciting new Indian e-sports tournament format. The leading Battlegrounds Mobile India e-sports teams will battle for major cash prizes at this invitational.

The top 24 BGMI pro teams from throughout the country will compete in over 54 matches, including qualifying and finals, at the Gillette 7 Sea Invitational. The event will take place over nine days, with two high-intensity sessions from March 25 to 27 and March 29 to April 03, respectively.
