Honda Launches New Models of Amaze and Brio Starting from Rs 5.99 lakh

On Tuesday, Honda Cars India announced the launch of a new variant of its compact sedan Amaze. The diesel variant of this new model of Amaze is priced at 8.2 lakh, whereas its petrol variant of has been introduced for Rs 7.32 lakh. Both are ex-showroom pricing inNew Delhi.

Besides launching new models of Amaze, the auto manufacturer also expanded the Brio hatchback lineup by introducing couple of new models in the range. Well, the firm announced the manual model of Brio priced at Rs 5.99 lakh and the automatic variant of the hatchback for Rs 6.78 lakh.

Regarding the launch of these new models of Amaze and Brio, Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) claimed in an official statement that the Amazon will arrive with a new VX(O) grade featuring audio video navigation. This new grade will be placed above the existing VX grade in the manual transmission, be it petrol or diesel variants.

The Honda Brio gets a new VX trim with all black interiors and AVN package. The power folding wing mirrors and rear defogger on the SX and higher trims of the Amaze sedan are added to the Brio range. The Honda AVN package comprises of a 15.7 cm touch screen display loaded with maps and voice guided navigation interface. It features DVD/CD, Bluetooth music streaming and telephony, USB, aux, iPod connectivity, MP3 playback and AM/FM radio.

Commenting about the launch of new Amaze and Brio models, Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Honda Cars India Ltd claimed that these new grades with the audio and video navigation features have been introduced based on the customer feedback that the manufacturer received. He added that HCIL values customer feedback and tries to address their requirements in their models. He further revealed that the firm is also in plans of providing the CNG version of Honda Amaze soon.

Amaze that falls in the compact sedan category was launched in India in April 2013 and ever since then the maker cumulatively managed to sell over 1.25 lakh units of the same across the nation. On the other hand, the Honda Brio hatchback range that was introduced in September 2011 has sold over 70,000 units since its debut.
