Marvel’s Eternals to release on Disney+ Hotstar on January 12

Eternals, the 26th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) will stream on 12th January at Disney+ Hotstar. The movie will be streamed in Tamil, Telegu, Malayalam, Kannada, English, and Hindi.

Eternals will soon join 13 other MCU movies that are streaming now on Disney+. They are streaming in IMAX Enhanced on Disney+ which gives a more immersive viewing experience at home with its expanded aspect ratio.

The film had already been released at the cinemas for the Diwali weekend. It had Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi and Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe for company in the box office and made 37.12 crore rupees in box office collections.

Marvel Studios’ Eternals is directed by Chloe Zhao, who won the academy award for best director in 2020 for Nomadland.

The star-studded cast includes Gemma Chan as mankind-loving Sersi, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo the cosmic-powered, Richard Madden as Ikaris the all-powerful, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos the brilliant inventor, and Lia McHugh as Sprite the forever young, old soul.

If this wasn’t enough, also starring in the movie are Barry Keoghan as distant loner Gruig, Lauren Ridloff as the lightning-fast Makkari, Kit Harington as Dane Whitman, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Angelina Jolie as Thena the warrior, and Salma Hayek as Ajak, the spiritual leader.

The Eternals are a group of powerful beings from beyond the stars older than time itself who had protected the Earth since the age of men. When the Deviants, monstrous creatures long thought lost to history, reappear the old guardians of the planet are forced to reunite to defend humanity.

New subscription plans have been announced for Disney+ Hotstar this July for the next few months. Lots of original titles in web shows and movies are in the line-up.

Starting this September, mobile-only streaming plans have been made available at 499 rupees per year. For two devices it is 899 rupees and across four devices it is 1499 rupees per year.

The slate of new shows for Disney+ Hotstar include Rudra- The Edge of Darkness, the medical series Human starring Kirti Kulhari and Shefali Shah, the historical drama The Empire starring Kunal Kapoor, and the second season of the crime drama Aarya.

Also slated for release are Escaype Live, the tech-thriller starring Siddharth and Javed Jaffrey, the crime drama Gharshana, Six Suspects starring Richa Chadha, among others.
