Bokaro, April 2026: Medusa Beverages, India’s fastest-growing beer brand, has announced the strategic expansion to the state of Jharkhand, marking another milestone in the company’s continued expansion across India. The move strengthens Medusa’s presence in eastern India and reflects the company’s strategy to tap into high-growth markets with a strong young consumer base.
As part of the rollout, Medusa will introduce its flagship variants including Medusa Premium Beer, Medusa Air and Medusa X House of the Dragon which will be made available across leading retail outlets and licensed liquor stores across key cities such as Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, and Bokaro. The expansion will be supported through a strong distribution network and local partnerships to ensure wide market availability. Medusa will be available across retail outlets in Jharkhand.
Jharkhand represents a significant opportunity for Medusa at this stage of its expansion. Factors such as rise in disposable income, steadily growing urban population and a vibrant culture across the state is emerging as a promising market for premium beer brands.
Medusa Premium Beer is known for its smooth, well-balanced taste with a crisp finish, making it an easy-drinking yet flavourful lager suited for a wide range of consumers. Medusa Air, on the other hand, is a lighter, more refreshing variant with a clean profile, designed for longer and more social drinking occasions. Together, the portfolio offers consumers a choice between a fuller-bodied experience and a lighter, more sessionable option, catering to evolving preferences in the premium beer segment.
“The strategic expansion in Jharkhand marks our first step in the eastern region of India and we will keep investing in deepening our domestic footprint. Medusa as a brand has always stood for delivering our best to the consumers and addressing the unidentified gaps. Jharkhand’s beer market features a mix of regional and national brands. We believe there is a strong white space in the premium and contemporary beer segment, particularly among the young consumers. Jharkhand marks the stepping stone to our larger plans of pan India expansions,” stated Avneet Singh, MD and CEO, Medusa Beverages.
The rollout in Jharkhand is expected to gradually expand over the coming months as Medusa strengthens its distribution network and increases its outlet presence across both on-trade and off-trade channels.
Looking ahead, the company aims to significantly expand its national footprint over the next few years, with plans to enter additional states across eastern and southern India while scaling its distribution and production capabilities. Today, Medusa Beer commands a strong 10% market share in Delhi, reflecting the brand’s rapid rise within India’s premium beer segment. As Medusa continues to scale its footprint across the country, the launch in Jharkhand marks another important step in strengthening its national presence.
