Kolkata, March 16, 2026: Mindshaft Media, a leading experiential marketing and brand activation company, has unveiled Art Lane, a curated Durga Puja Pre-Exhibit platform designed to celebrate the artistic, cultural and creative excellence that defines Kolkata’s Durga Puja art. The initiative offers audiences a serene and exclusive preview of some of the city’s most celebrated art-led pandals before the main festival crowds arrive, creating a new cultural platform for appreciating Bengal’s rich artistic heritage.
Scheduled from October 8–11 across four evenings, the preview will provide visitors with an early opportunity to experience the installations created by participating pandal committees in a thoughtfully curated environment, allowing audiences to engage more deeply with the artistic themes, craftsmanship and storytelling behind the works. Brands participating in the platform will also receive priority advertising, activation and consumer engagement opportunities during the main Durga Puja celebrations (October 12–21).
While the initiative celebrates the artistic and cultural dimension of Durga Puja, the platform also creates a structured opportunity for organisations and brands to engage with one of India’s largest public cultural events. Through curated collaborations and experiential activations around the preview, brands can participate in the festival ecosystem while supporting the artistic community that brings these installations to life.
Durga Puja pandals today represent months of creative effort by artists, designers, craftsmen and cultural practitioners. Each installation is conceived as a large-scale public artwork that combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary artistic interpretation. Through Art Lane, Mindshaft Media aims to create a dedicated platform that highlights this artistic process and brings greater visibility to the creativity that defines the festival.
Art Lane was formally introduced at a curtain-raiser event held on March 13 during Poila Parbon, where the platform’s name and identity were unveiled in the presence of Durga Puja committee representatives, artisans and cultural stakeholders. The gathering celebrated the artistic spirit of the festival and recognised the contribution of craftsmen and creators whose work shapes Kolkata’s iconic pandals every year.
Speaking at the launch, Munmun Chakraborty, Co-Founder, Mindshaft Media, said:
“Durga Puja is one of the world’s most remarkable public celebrations of art and culture. Every year, artists and craftsmen create extraordinary installations that transform neighbourhoods across Kolkata. Through Art Lane, our aim is to create a platform that celebrates this creativity and allows audiences to experience these artistic expressions in a more reflective and accessible setting before the festival crowds arrive.”
The preview experience will run across 16 of Kolkata’s iconic pandals (with plans to expand the network to around 20 pandals), offering visitors an opportunity to explore the installations in a more relaxed and immersive atmosphere.
By creating a structured preview window ahead of the main festival, Art Lane seeks to highlight the artistry and creative narratives behind these large-scale installations while strengthening appreciation for the cultural traditions that shape Durga Puja.
Art Lane offers audiences an early and exclusive window into the making of some of Bengal’s most celebrated public art installations. It allows visitors to experience the installations through a guided and ticketed journey across participating pandals in the city. By enabling visitors to explore the pandals before the main festival begins, the initiative creates a more relaxed environment for appreciating the themes, artistry and craftsmanship behind each installation.
Representatives from participating pandal committees welcomed the initiative, noting that it provides an opportunity for audiences to experience the creative dimension of Durga Puja more thoughtfully.
“Art Lane provides the chance to experience the timeless essence of Durga Pujo – A pre-exhibit Show, where the spirit of the festival comes alive even before the celebrations begin. With this effort, it will help pandal hoppers to step into a space where creativity meets tradition, offering a glimpse of the artistic brilliance and cultural vibrance that captures the magic of Durga Pujo before the drums start to roll,” said Pratik Choudhury, Joint Secretary, Dum Dum Park Bharat Chakra Club.
Through curated collaborations, cultural storytelling, content initiatives and experiential activations around the preview, organisations can engage with audiences while supporting the broader cultural ecosystem that surrounds the festival.
Art Lane aims to deepen cultural awareness, highlight the creative labour behind Durga Puja and strengthen public appreciation for the artists, designers and craftsmen who bring these monumental works to life.
These collaborations allow brands to position themselves as supporters of creativity, culture and community while engaging with audiences in an authentic cultural setting in the lead-up to Durga Puja.
