Mobile Premier League (MPL), a sports and social game network revealed its Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) sponsorship ahead of the coming T20 season. MPL seeks to promote its online presence through the partnership to create a higher reach for the team and engage with the fans during the tournament.

The association is in accordance with its ambitions to introduce the gaming industry into the competitive sporting arena, as per the gaming website. According to Sanjeev Churiwala, chairman, Royal Challengers Bangalore, the greatest strength of RCB lies in the love and affection the team gets from their fans and it will be thrilling to open avenues to connect with the team and we share this ethic with MPL of being loyal to our fans to give them continuous at-home cricket experiences. The T20 tournament to be played in this year’s UAE is set to commence on September 19, 2020, and end on November 10, 2020.

MPL, Vice President, marketing and promotion, Abhishek Madhavan said, “RCB is one of the biggest teams in the IPL headed by Virat Kohli, our Brand Ambassador, and is also one of the country’s most known brands with a massive fan following. RCB’s #PlayBold concept is embraced by us and Virat as well, and we hope to become a household name for our IPL partnerships in India.

MPL was founded in 2018 and is India’s platform for esports and mobile gaming. Currently, the website has over 50 games including World Cricket Championship (WCC) ones. Even MPL has several gaming studios and publishers to publish their games on its website as collaborators. The MPL app is available on both iOS and Android. The business was founded by Sai Srinivas and Shubh Malhotra, who earlier co-founded Creo, which was purchased as a Cell Phone startup. MPL presently has offices in Bengaluru, Jakarta, and Pune in India and Indonesia.

Other than Mobile Premier League, many other companies like Fast&Up for Chennai Super Kings, JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd., Ralco Tyres for Sun Risers Hyderabad, Muthoot Finance, Daikin’s for Delhi Capitals, Jio for Kings XI Punjab, Byju’s has replaced  Ginonee for Kolkata Knight Riders have come forward to sponsor the IPL teams this year.
