Moj unveils winners of Micro Drama Challenge’s March edition in push to scale India’s emerging short-form storytelling economy

True Dreams Entertainment Wins Moj's Micro Drama Challenge in March, Takes Home ₹25 Lakh, while Cine Short Premiere and Tamasha received ₹15 Lakh and ₹10 Lakh respectively

New Delhi, 10th April, 2026 – Moj, India’s leading homegrown short video platform from ShareChat, announced the winners of its Micro Drama Challenge, a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to spotlight and accelerate emerging storytellers and production houses through its unique accelerator programme that gives winning creators access to an annual budget of ₹24 crore

The initiative helped to open doors to discover, finance, and groom the next wave of storytellers building vertical micro drama series for India’s fastest-growing short-video audience, to showcase their talent and content capabilities. The challenge received more than 100 professional entries from creators and production houses across the country, underscoring the growing momentum behind the micro-drama format.

Through the initiative that encompassed a month-long grueling competition, the participants were offered a powerful launchpad to scale original storytelling, build high-engagement content franchises, and tap into ShareChat & Moj’s rapidly growing micro-drama ecosystem. As the competition went down to the wire, True Dreams Entertainment grabbed bragging rights as the winner of the first tranche of this competition through its show “Thukra Ke Mera Pyaar” and took home ₹25 lakhs as prize money. Right behind them were “Cine Short Premiere” for their show “Paisa Pyaar Parivaar” earning ₹15 lakhs, followed by Tamasha for “The Dirty Wedding” netting ₹10 Lakhs. Other participants such as Nazarbattu Creations, M2R, and Humara Movies who have already built a strong user base through their expertise in the format, fell short of making it to the podium and gaining the winning prizes.

Manohar Singh Charan, Co-Founder & CFO, ShareChat, Moj & Quick TV, said, “Micro-dramas are emerging as a powerful storytelling format, resonating strongly with today’s mobile-first audiences. With the Moj Micro Drama Challenge, we wanted to create a meaningful pathway for creators and production houses to not only showcase their talent but also access real opportunities to build and scale in this category. The response has been incredibly encouraging, and we have made the decision to increase our annual budget to ₹24 Cr. We’re excited to support the next generation of storytellers through this accelerator programme and have already started receiving multiple entries for this month’s edition.”

As short-form storytelling continues to evolve, ShareChat, M0j and Quick TV remain committed to investing in creator-led innovation and enabling new formats that redefine how India consumes entertainment.
