Nature inFocus Announces Asia’s Largest Festival to Celebrate Nature

8th June, Bengaluru 2023: Nature inFocus, a leading media and production house dedicated to narrating stories that celebrate and champion nature, announces its mega Festival for the first time since the pandemic. The Nature inFocus Festival will be held on 29 & 30 July 2023 at Jayamahal Palace, Bengaluru.

Making a return after a gap of three years, the Nature inFocus Festival has partnered with the renowned Wildlife Photographer of the Year (WPY), an annual international wildlife photography competition and touring exhibition staged by the Natural History Museum in London, England.

This year, the theme for the Festival is ‘Sustainable Today for a Better Tomorrow’, which will focus on topics around climate change and sustainability, with a special highlight on how saving our tigers has saved our forests too, in line with celebrating 50 years of Project Tiger. The Festival framework will include film screenings, talks, panel discussions, photography exhibition, entertainment, art installations, book release, workshops and masterclasses, sustainable flea market and an Awards ceremony.

Commenting on the festival, Rohit Varma, Founder, Nature inFocus, said, “We are excited to come back post the pandemic to host this incredible Festival that merges art, education, and conservation. Our Photography and Film Awards aim to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for the wonders of nature, while also highlighting the urgent need for wildlife and environmental conservation. The event fosters a sense of community among those who share a passion for nature and wildlife conservation, discussing the pressing issues and appreciating the work done by individuals and organizations.”

Gemma Ward, Competition Manager of Wildlife Photographer of the Year, said about the association, “The Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year is proud to partner with the Nature inFocus Festival. Wildlife and conservation photography is a celebration of the natural world and a powerful call to take action to protect it. Nature inFocus offers a brilliant opportunity for visual storytellers to come together and connect.”

The Festival is one of Asia’s largest, where researchers, scientists, conservationists, activists, wildlife photographers, filmmakers and nature enthusiasts all gather under one roof to engage and share their knowledge and experiences.

The Nature inFocus Festival 2023 will also be announcing the winners of the prestigious ‘Nature inFocus Photography and Film Awards 2023’.
