National, India — The Nemetschek Group, a globally leading software provider for the Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations (AEC/O) industry, has expanded its academic collaboration footprint in India through two strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the School of Planning & Architecture (SPA), New Delhi, and Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University, Bhubaneswar. These partnerships will establish state-of-the-art AEC Centres of Excellence aimed at accelerating digital capability-building, fostering industry-aligned education, and driving BIM-led transformation across India’s built-environment sector.
Nemetschek India signed an MoU with SPA New Delhi — an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Education — to create an AEC Centre of Excellence that will enhance curriculum-embedded digital literacy, support interdisciplinary research, and advance technology-enabled pedagogy.
The Center will integrate Nemetschek tools into coursework, introduce faculty development programs, and facilitate student internships while also serving as a nodal hub for digital design awareness across the northern region.
The Nemetschek Group also entered a strategic partnership with KIIT University to establish a dedicated Centre of Excellence for Civil Engineering and Architecture disciplines. The initiative, signed in the presence of university leadership, will embed Nemetschek software into the academic curriculum, deepen BIM adoption, and strengthen digital skilling through internships and hands-on training. A formal launch of the lab facility is scheduled for January 2026.
