29th September 2022, New Delhi – As per the BARC data (Wk 35 – 38’22, 1800-2400 hrs, TG: 15+, HSM), News18 India has widened its lead over AajTak in the coveted prime time band. India’s number one Hindi news channel is ahead of AajTak by 3.5%.
According to the BARC numbers (Wk 38’22, 1800-2400 hrs, TG: 15+, HSM), News18 India has 14.9% market share as compared to AajTak’s 11.4% and India TV’s 11.8% market share.
In the 9 -10 PM band, News18 India’s Kishore Ajwani has 15.9% share as compared to Aajtak’s Sudhir Chaudhary who has 12.9% share and India TV who’s at number two with 15.0% share.
Additionally, as per BARC data (Wk 35 – 38’22, TG: 15+, HSM), News18 India continues to be the industry leader and has garnered 14.3% market share, which is more than the combined market share of ABP and Zee News.
As per BARC data, TV9 Bharatvarsh is at No.2 and AajTak is at No.3 with 11.8% and 11.4% market share respectively.
Both ABP and Zee News have garnered a market share of 6.7% and 6.0%.
Ever since the BARC ratings resumed in March this year, News18 India has been steadily climbing the viewership charts.
As per the BARC data for week 38, News18 India reached 8.77 crore viewers, as compared to AajTak’s 7.27 crore viewers.
Even on digital, the brand is garnering solid traction with its views across YouTube and other social media platforms increasing steadily.
