Organizational Changes in Toyota Kirloskar Motor

Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Limited is a joint venture company.

It is a collaboration of 89% share of Toyota Motor Corporation and 11% share of Kirloskar Group, for the sale and manufacture of Toyota cars in India. It is headquartered in Bidadi, near Banglore, Karnataka, India.

 In India, Toyota Kirloskar Motor is the first automobile manufacturer to receive the ISO 22000: 2005 Certification.

This certification shows Toyota’s high standard of Food Quality and Safety Management System. The company has approximately 7000+ employees.

On Wednesday, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) declared several organizational changes to its enterprise. These changes will be effective from January 1, 2022.

The automaker stated that to further manage efficiency and cooperation all over the organization, the major resources have been aligned and allotted responsibilities. 

The company has done restructuring at the senior level as they have designated Raju B Ketkale as Executive Vice President, manufacturing, and Yoshinori Noritake as Executive Vice President and Chief Technical Officer.

The further appointments are the following:-

  • Tadashi Asazuma will act as Executive Vice President, Sales and Customer services
  • Swapnesh R Maru will look after Finance and Administration as Executive Vice President
  • Vikram Gulati will be in charge of Corporate Affairs and Governance as Executive Vice President
  • Sudeep S Dalvi will take over as Senior Vice President and Chief Communication Officer

The managing director of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Masakazu Yoshimura claimed that they were glad to announce the restructuring of the senior leadership team and they aimed to strengthen the organization while based on complexity, accountability, and future-readiness, rationalizing the management structure.

TKM is a people-centric organization. It has always placed high significance on appreciating the talent who express proficiency while securing the flexibility in the assignment to further increase the competitiveness.

Yoshimura also stated that this declaration permits the company to bring diversity among the management team while recognizing the true important contributions of the senior leaders of the organization.

They are happy to see the new team in action, and they trust the new team in carrying on the consistent growth in the industry.

Mahesh N Salkar, the Executive Vice President, will be retiring on December 31, 2021.
