Pickyourtrail brings in Janani Kandaswamy to scale holidays into a brand led travel & experience platform

Chennai, India | 21 April 2026 —Travel-tech platform Pickyourtrail has announced the appointment of Janani Kandaswamy as its Head of Marketing, as the company sharpens its focus on building a differentiated, brand-led growth engine in the fast-evolving travel category.

Janani brings with her a strong cross-category marketing pedigree with over 15 years of experience in FMCG, Stationery, Appliances, Automobile & Telecom industries. She has held leadership roles in Versuni India and ITC, building both popular and premium consumer brands like Preethi, Classmate and Mangaldeep, driving digital-first growth, and shaping end-to-end consumer journeys across global and Indian markets.

At Pickyourtrail, she will lead the mandate of elevating the brand’s positioning as a category leader in customised international holidays, while expanding its relevance across adjacent and emerging segments.

Founded by Hari Ganapathy, Pickyourtrail has been at the forefront of reimagining how travellers plan and experience holidays—combining technology, personalisation with best in class expertise to deliver what it calls “Sooper hit holidays.” The company is currently the fastest growing holiday brand in India, fuelled by rising demand for customised travel experiences among Indian consumers.

Commenting on her appointment, Janani Kandaswamy said:

“Travel is one of the most emotionally charged yet cognitively complex categories for consumers.

The next phase of growth will belong to brands that can combine deep personalisation with simplicity, and storytelling with seamless execution.

Pickyourtrail has already built a strong foundation here, and I’m excited to scale this into a brand that not only organises trips but also shapes how people experience the world.”

The appointment comes at a time when Indian travellers are increasingly prioritising curated and premium experiences, with a growing preference for personalised itineraries and hassle – free planning support.

Hari Ganapathy, Co-founder and CEO, Pickyourtrail, added:

“At Pickyourtrail, we’ve built a strong product-market fit over the years. The next step is to translate that into a distinctive, enduring brand.

With Janani coming on board we’re doubling down on building the most loved travel and experience brand. She will sharpen our brand narrative with deep consumer insights and disciplined execution that will accelerate growth across markets and categories”

Looking ahead, Pickyourtrail aims to further strengthen its position as a trusted partner for travellers seeking seamless, personalised journeys. The company is focused on deepening its presence in key international markets while also expanding into domestic holidays and adjacent travel – experience categories. In line with this, Pickyourtrail had launched Fluid, a cutting edge digital platform to simplify and optimise corporate travel. It automates the entire travel process, streamlining travel spending, reducing decision making time and enhancing the experience of booking.
