Platform 65 To Celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi With Eco-Friendly Ganesh Idols

Hyderabad, 15th September 2023: Platform 65, India’s toy-train-themed restaurant, is delighted to announce a unique celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi at all its outlets. To fulfil its societal responsibility, Platform 65 is actively promoting eco-friendly Ganesh idols over those made from non-biodegradable Plaster of Paris, which contains harmful chemicals and toxic colors that lead to significant pollution of marine life and water bodies. In a bid to conserve and protect the environment, and encourage its customers to embrace eco-friendly practices, Platform 65 will gift more than 300 environment-friendly Ganesh idols across its restaurants on September 18. Srikanth Bandaru, the Corporate General Manager, will join the team and oversee the distribution of the idols.

Ganesh Chaturthi, one of India’s most revered festivals, celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles. On this occasion, Platform 65 has chosen to give away idols made of sand. While the move underlines Platform 65’s commitment to boosting sustainability and furthering environment-friendly practices, it will also foster community connections. Every restaurant under the Platform 65 banner will be adorned with these eco-friendly idols, symbolizing both reverence for tradition and a responsible approach to celebrating it.

On initiating this activity, Mr. Sadgun Patha, Managing Director and Founder of Platform 65, said, At Platform 65, we believe that hospitality extends beyond the dining table, it’s about nurturing the environment and the community that surrounds us. This eco-friendly activity is a testament to our unwavering commitment to sustainability. Just as we carefully curate our culinary experiences to tantalize your taste buds, we’re equally dedicated to crafting experiences that leave a positive mark on our planet. It’s not just about serving delectable cuisines, it’s also about savouring the flavours of tradition while embracing the responsibility of preserving our environment for generations to come.”

Venkatesh Gopisetty, Vice President of Platform 65, said, “As we celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi, we are reminded that our traditions can coexist harmoniously with our responsibility towards the planet. At Platform 65, we’re proud to take this meaningful step towards eco-conscious celebrations. Our commitment to sustainability is an integral part of our desire to offer the best of hospitality. We invite you to join us in this joyous occasion, where tradition meets eco-friendliness, and where the warmth of our hospitality extends not only to your plate but also to the world we share.”
