Reliance Jio in partnership with AeroMobile launches in-flight mobile service

Reliance Jio in partnership with the Panasonic Avionics Corporation subsidiary, AeroMobile, launches the in-flight mobile service which will be available in 22 partner airlines at various airports. With this service, JioPostpaid Plus users will be able to stay connected with data services and voice on flights while travelling abroad. The services in the package are going to be available for all the Jio customers as soon as the services would be available in the Indian airspace.

As per the reports, some of the airlines in which the in-flight mobile services will be available are Air Serbia, Alitalia, Asiana Airlines, Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Euro Wings, Kuwait Airways and Malaysia Airlines. Eventhough, only data and SMS services will be available on Cathay Pacific, Aer Lingus, Egypt Air, EVA Air, Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines and TAP Air Portugal at several airports.

Speaking about this Jio Director Akash Ambani told that JioPostpaid Plus brings with it’s highest-quality and industry-defining user experience, and through their partnership with AeroMobile they will now offer in-flight roaming services at an attractive price. He also told that they are so happy to bring this new service to their customers, who will be able to enjoy seamless, high-quality, and secure roaming at 20,000 feet, keeping every JioPostpaid Plus user connected, always. This is one of the best initiatives that Reliance Jio could take to get a more customer base. This will surely make the current customers, as well as potential customers, avail more services from Jio and of course, this plan will attract many more new customers to Reliance Jio also by decreasing that minor competition from the industry also.

The in-flight mobile service will be available for users at ₹499 for 250 MB data, 100 minutes of outgoing calls, and 100 messages for a day, while ₹699 and the ₹999 plans the benefits of 500 MB data and 1 GB data respectively along with hundred minutes of outgoing calls plus hundred text messages.
