SBI collaborates Yono Krishi with IFFCO eBazar

SBI (State Bank of India), the largest lender of India announced that they had forwarded the consolidation of Yono Krishi with IFFCO eBazar under its Mandi section. Through this integration, the farmer customers of the bank can take advantage of the free home delivery services of all farming related products. It will be provided to over 27,000 locations across the country from the IFFCO eBazar portal.

U S Awasthi, Managing Director of IFFCO said that the IFFCO eBazar portal mainly intends to comprehend the Prime Minister’s dream of doubling farmers‘ income through a farmer-centric digital approach. Meanwhile, SBI officials commented that the bank’s Yono Krishi platform has been serving all the agricultural needs of farmers, from sowing to harvesting. Therefore, over 3 crores of registered Yono customers will get the benefit through the integration of Yono Krishi and IFFCO eBazar.

Now through online platform, the farmers can place orders for high-quality seeds, fertilizers, agricultural machinery, pesticides, organic products, and other farm products. The orders can be placed with no minimum order value through the IFFCO eBazar portal. C S Setty, Managing Director (Retail and Digital Banking) said that this is an elevating step towards the fulfillment of the government’s vision to double the farmer’s income by 2022.

Yogendra Kumar, Marketing Director of IFFCO commented that the consolidation of Yono Krishi with IFFCO eBazar will assist IFFCO to reach out the Yono’s wide network of registered customers, a large part of which happens to be farmers. Through the portal, farmers can not only place the orders for the best quality agriculture inputs and non-subsidized fertilizers but also they can get solutions for their doubts and issues through a particular farmers’ forum and a dedicated helpline.

Yono Krishi platform provides a one-stop solution for all agricultural needs of farmers. It will assist the farmers to apply for the same in just four clicks from the comfort of their home without any paperwork. Meanwhile, IFFCO eBazar outlets which had started its operations in April 2016, work intending to provide modern retail experience in rural India. They also aim to deliver agricultural inputs & services to the farming community at an affordable price under one roof.

Therefore, the integration of Yono Krishi with IFFCO eBazar will help to build strong brand equity in rural India and also to create a trustworthy ecosystem which will ultimately curtail the input costs for farmers.
