Siddha Jain joins Bombay Shaving Co. as head of women’s division

Owner of grooming brand Bombay Shaving Company, Visage Lines, has appointed Siddha Jain to handle and lead the women’s care and beauty business for the brand. Siddha Jain joins the grooming company from Bain & Co., where she was serving consumer goods and technology businesses for almost five years.

Even though Bombay Shaving Company started as a shaving, beard, and skincare brand for men but over the last few quarters it has become a preferred choice for women’s care and grooming needs too. They had immediate success when their women’s shaving and hair removal range, during the first wave of COVID-19 in 2020. 

At Bombay Shaving Company, Jain will be driving business-critical directives to scale the women’s hair removal business, with a special focus on building equity across modern trade, digital commerce, and allied services. Shantanu Deshpande, founder CEO, Visage Lines, said that Siddha will bring superb business awareness, growth intrinsic, spontaneous energy, and a hands-on understanding of the Indian woman as a consumer. She has an incredible track record of developing and supporting large-scale businesses across growth strategy, transformation, sustainable scaling, and focus towards being people-centric.

 He also said that as Bombay Shaving Company builds a powerful leadership to create a new image for the company, a senior executive of Siddha’s talent will be a massive asset for them.

Furthermore, Deepak Gupta has been promoted to chief operating officer from chief business officer. Gupta will lead the expansion of the group into multiple strategic businesses across categories in this new role. He has risen the ranks rapidly after joining Visage Lines in January 2019 to lead the brick-and-mortar business.
