Switch On and Switch Off to Recharge; MS Dhoni’s Advice to Students in ALLEN Online Series

13th March, National: ALLEN Online is releasing the second episode of its student conversation  series Rise to the Top, featuring an engaging interaction between Mahendra Singh Dhoni and  young Olympiad achievers Aadish Jain from Haryana and Krishnarghya Pramanik from West  Bengal. The episode will be available on the ALLEN Online YouTube channel at 7pm today. 

The episode features Aadish Jain from Haryana, who did not succeed in his first attempt but, through  determination and hard work, went on to become a gold medallist at International Junior Sciences  Olympiad. It also features Krishnarghya Pramanik from West Bengal, who got International Rank 1 in  Mathematics Olympiad at a young age through online learning. 

The series brings together accomplished students and inspiring role models for candid conversations  about ambition, discipline and the mindset required to achieve excellence. In the latest episode, Dhoni  interacts with the students about curiosity, preparation for Olympiads and how young learners can  manage pressure while pursuing demanding goals. 

During the conversation, Dhoni also spoke about the importance of maintaining balance while  preparing for competitive examinations. Drawing parallels between sports and academics, he  emphasised that students should remain focused on their preparation while also finding ways to  recharge their minds. 

Speaking in the episode, MS Dhoni said, “It is very important to switch on and switch off. For me,  riding bikes or playing sports like badminton and padel helps me recharge. I also feel students should  explore different sports early, because unless you try something, you will never know what you are  naturally good at.” 

Dhoni also spoke about the value of curiosity and asking questions as part of the learning process. He  noted that students should not hesitate to ask questions even if they feel unsure, as curiosity and the  willingness to learn are essential for growth. 

The conversation to also highlight the important role mentors and parents play in shaping young  achievers. The students acknowledged the guidance they received from their families and teachers,  which helped them stay motivated and focused on their academic goals. 

Through Rise to the Top, ALLEN Online aims to create a platform where students can learn from  inspiring journeys and gain insights into the discipline, curiosity and mindset required to succeed in  competitive environments.
