Bengaluru | 25th September 2026: Tata Power has commissioned its first 240 kW DC ultra-fast EV charging station in Andhra Pradesh at Sri Varsha Grand on the Bengaluru–Chittoor–Tirupati/Chennai highway, strengthening charging access along an important intercity corridor connecting Bengaluru and Chennai, while also serving travellers heading towards Tirupati.
With its 240-kW charging capacity, the facility is positioned to support faster charging for compatible EVs, helping private travellers, commercial vehicle operators and fleet users make convenient charging stops during long-distance journeys. The station’s high-capacity infrastructure also supports the evolving requirements of EV users travelling across key routes in South India.
Equipped with CCS-2 connectors, the station offers compatibility with a broad range of supported EV models. Its location at Sri Varsha Grand adds convenience to the charging experience, with access to dining, restroom and parking facilities, allowing travellers to make productive use of their stop while their vehicles charge.
The station is part of Tata Power’s EZ Charge network, which has scaled to over 6,700 public and captive charging points, 2.5 lakh+ home EV chargers and 1,200+ e-bus charging points, with a footprint spanning 700+ cities and towns nationwide. The addition of this high-capacity facility further expands access to EV charging infrastructure along important intercity travel routes.
EV users can locate charging stations, check availability and initiate charging sessions through the Tata Power EZ Charge mobile app or RFID cards, enabling a convenient and connected charging experience.
