Bhopal, 15th December, 2023: Vishwarang is back with its 5th edition of celebrating Indian literature, culture, art, music and cinema and this year it commences with Youth Festival & Tagore Children’s Painting Competition on 16th & 17th December’23, respectively.

Known to be one of the biggest festivals to promote and spread Indian culture across the world, the underlying thought behind Vishwarang is to encourage art enthusiasts from all over the world as well as significant personalities in their fields to partake in this celebration while providing a global stage for new and upcoming talents. This mega event will see participation from more than 50 countries with 500 artists and authors participating in it.

The Youth Festival is being celebrated on 16th December at Scope Global Skills University, Bhopal, which will mark the inauguration of Vishwarang 2023. The event starts at 10:30 in the morning and will go on till 5 in the evening.  It starts with a musical programme “Char Baith” conducted in special association with the Madhya Pradesh Urdu Academy and Cultural Department which will be followed by a Talk on “Mother Tongue & Preparation for Future” by Mr. Awadh Ojha. Artists such as, RJ Ved, RJ Arsh, RJ Pihu, Vinay Upadhyay & Mudit Shrivastava have been invited for discussion on “Radio Podcasts as a Career Choice”, which will be followed by a talk on “Media and its Challenges” by Mr. Ranjan Kumar Srivastav and Ms. Shefali. The day will have an exciting end with a performance by music band “The Roots”. The Youth Festival is a fun and informative event that will engage the young minds while imparting knowledge.

Following this, there is Tagore Children Painting Competition which will be organised on 17th of December. The competition has been divided into 4 categories, the first for children of class 3 to 5, the second for class 6 to 8, the third for teenagers of class 9 and 10 and finally the fourth category consisting students from class 11 and 12, with the registration being free across all of them. Selected young painters will be given the opportunity of attending a special Art workshop that will be conducted by National Artists on the final day of Vishwarang 2023. Interested students can register for free and are advised to bring their own art supplies while drawing sheets will be provided at the venue. The paintings of the winners from Tagore Children Painting Competition will be showcase in Vishwarang Calendar 2024.

On this grand occasion, Chancellor at Scope Global Skills University, Dr. Siddharth Chaturvedi, said that, “The primary goal of organising Vishwarang has always been to provide youth a worldwide platform and to nurture them by giving room for their creative and intellectual growth. It is our constant endeavour to provide children with a platform to express themselves creatively while enjoying the experience. In accordance with the same, the topic of this year’s event, Indian Literature, Culture and Art, has been chosen to educate the young crowd about our nation’s rich & varied traditional and artistic skills.
