New Delhi, June 2025 – The Uttar Pradesh Renewable Energy Summit and Expo 2025 was held at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow, organized by the Centre for Agricultural and Rural Development with support from UPNEDA and the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
The event showcased a key partnership between UPNEDA and KLK Ventures to advance renewable energy use in Uttar Pradesh. They aim to increase access to renewable energy particularly in rural and disadvantaged areas with new solar solutions and infrastructure.
In his welcome address, Dr. Arindam Roy called for collective and new technology efforts to achieve energy self-sufficiency in the state. The summit focused on a range of topics, including solar energy, bioenergy, EV charging infrastructure, and critical Government Schemes such as the PM-KUSUM and roof-top solar policy.
KLK Ventures, a prominent company in solar-powered products, has installed more than 50,000 solar street lights, mini power plants, and battery systems in the state already. In addition, KLK and UPNEDA are working on training programs and sustainable service models through the agreement to ensure long-term positive impact.
“We are proud to partner with UPNEDA and the Government of Uttar Pradesh in advancing clean energy access across the state. Our goal is not just to provide solar solutions, but to empower rural communities with reliable, sustainable energy systems. Through this collaboration, we’re investing in the future of Uttar Pradesh—where innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability go hand in hand.”— Akshat Jain, CEO, KLK Ventures
This effort is part of the state’s overarching objective to solarize all irrigation by 2027, and to achieve a carbon-neutral environment through commitments to hydrogen, hydropower, and other decentralized energy systems.
