Oct 16, 2012: VIP, leading brand in luggage segment has announced its entry to ladies handbag segment with an imported model ‘Caprese’. The company plans to become a market leader in Rs 2000 crore segment. The company sources commented, “”We see an opportunity to create in handbags what VIP is in luggage. Currently, there is no dominant ladies handbag brand at the Rs 2,000-7,000 price points”. The new handbag brand will be positioned in the mid premium category.
