Adman Subhas Warrier and Shyam Musthafa launch multidisciplinary creative agency – ‘Sensibly Weird Company’

Adman Subhas Warrier, who has spent over 10 years with the WPP group companies- Ogilvy and MindShare in multiple, international markets, has now recently launched an advertising agency with his partner Shyam Musthafa. Named ‘Sensibly Weird Company’, the design house is a small multidisciplinary creative solutions company, as stated by the co-founders.

Based in Kochi, the company plans to help brands to grow by creating ‘honest stories, designs, and creatives that break through the noise’.

Speaking about the agency, Warrier shares that they believe in the power of ideas and imagination. The company believe in creating their own path as well as in questioning the way things have been, seen, and experienced. “We believe in challenging the status quo in being outliers, not because it’s cool, but because that’s who we are”, he further stated.

Warrier addresses himself as an ‘old school’ guard, but more of a constant learner, listener, improviser, and a hypothetical risk-taker. Having worked with many top global ad agencies, like Dentsu and Lowe Lintas, in his over 3-decade-long industry experience, Warrier partnered in the Communication Planning Mix as a senior resource for a host of blue-chip brands, including Emirates Airline, Gulf Air, Air Arabia, British Petroleum, Jockey, 3M, Taaza, Citibank, Ford Motors, Pond’s, IBM, Knorr Foods, Sunsilk Shampoo, Close Up, Intercontinental Hotels, and Qatar National Bank.

With Sensibly Weird, Warrier’s aim is to create meaningful disruption in the marketplace that would create a positive impact on the brands and clients who have put their faith in the new agency.

With a passion for both film and cooking, Musthafa’s forte lies in his strong visual communication skills in the field of new and traditional media.

Shyam Musthafa is the former (head of the department- visual arts at the Creative NICC, Bengaluru). He taught cinematography at the NICC prestigious connection of the Canon Pro Center for South India. As a creative director, He has worked with numerous brands like Forum Mall (Prestige group), Milou, Jain Tubes, Kings Beer, The Chennai Silks, Food Stop Diner, Indel Money, Masala Box, Vivafit, etc.

Warrier shared that the agency was born during the COVID pandemic. He further mentioned that Although advertising is a key aspect of our agency, we are not limiting ourselves to it and We want to be an ideal  platform for creating creative expressions for our clients.”
