Amazon India will soon incorporate the Marathi language for its services and backing platform. The new initiative has come up after numerous individuals living in Maharashtra requested the organization to add the language so as to support them.

With the launch of many new languages, Amazon now offers six distinct languages in India – English, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu. Customers can select their preferred language from the Amazon app on their Android or iOS devices or through the mobile or desktop site.

To go along and give the best user experience, Amazon has chosen to add Marathi language support and announced the advancement in a tweet. Amazon said in its tweet that, work has just started to launch Marathi shopping experience and dealer enlistment to be available to the consumers soon.

Aside from this, the Jeff Bezos-drove organization will keep on bringing more language support so that will help to improve the seller and customer experience.

Recently, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS’s) Raj Thackeray wrote an open letter to Amazon’s CEO requesting language support for individuals living in Maharashtra. In the letter, the party also said that it will agitate against Amazon given that the company does not include the language support for the app as well as their website for customers in the state.

The Seattle, Washington-based giant took to Twitter and wrote, “We are committed to enable Amazon online shopping experience across Indian languages including Marathi. Work has already begun to launch Marathi shopping experience & seller registration soon. We will continue to add more languages for enhanced customer & seller experience.” Amazon has also shared a screenshot along with the tweet to suggest that the language support would soon go live on its platform.

A month ago, the organization presented Hindi language support for Alexa on Fire TV gadgets in India. The most recent update by Amazon currently permits Fire TV gadget users (inclusive of Fire TV Stick) to ask Alexa queries in Hindi.
