Cannes Lions jury will judge works of 2020 and 2021


The organizers of Cannes Lions have announced that after the postponement of last year’s awards and therefore the juries are going to be judging both years’ of work and awarding Lions for the year 2020 and 2021.

For quite 65 years Cannes Lions has set the benchmark for nice creative work and after the frustration of postponing the 2020 Lions awards, they are looking forward to presenting the work to the Juries in June. Some of the industry experts raised some concern about whether they could have done this event last October itself but some of the agencies refused to send their delegates to the event and as result to that live event was eventually canceled.

The awarding of the Lions will happen as common during the third week of June 2021 and therefore the plan is to gauge and present the add person in Cannes. During the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in France which is now open for delegate registrations.

While travel is currently constrained, the supply of multiple vaccines offers hope that they will be together in June, albeit got to limit the number of delegates who can safely attend

They have been delighted by the various spread of work that has emerged in their regional awards – Eurobest, Dubai Lynx, and Spikes Asia – and appearance forward to being inspired by the work which will set the worldwide standards across two years at Cannes Lions.

Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, the premier event of the creative communications industry was canceled last year thanks to the Coronavirus pandemic despite a postponement from its original dates of 22 – 26 June 2020 to 26 – 30 October 2020.
