With this campaign, Decathlon aims to inform consumers about its plans for India, which has long been a significant part of its overall business strategy. Through videos, social media, digital marketing, in-store experiences, and other activities, Decathlon’s ‘Make in India’ will share details of its development of locally sourced and manufactured products.

In 1997, Decathlon officially started manufacturing and exporting in India, and the rest is history. Currently, 60% of Decathlon products, are made in India, and the brand aims to increase this share to 85% by 2026. Additionally, for other countries, Decathlon continues to manufacture products in India, and most of the hockey equipment is mainly exported to various parts of the world.   • Since 2017, Decathlon has partnered with a cotton yarn producer in Gujarat to provide organic and recycled cotton for clothing and equipment.
  • Similarly, hockey boots are made in Dehradun, Kanpur, and Tamil Nadu, post-consumer waste PET bottles are recycled polyester from Nashik, and 59% of woven and 75% of knitwear sold in Decathlon stores, are made in India.
