With campuses being shut, classes cancelled, and admissions deferred what will be the future for all the schools, colleges, universities, and students out there!?

The coronavirus that started in late 2019 (December) in Wuhan, Hubei province, China and then started spreading to other countries like America, Europe, and Asia in early 2020 (Feb and March). Coronavirus being a deadly and communicative disease that could be easily spread from one affected person to another, caused many sudden deaths shaking the entire world and its leaders. So, to contain the spread, countries did the only doable thing, thus the shutting down of commercial, educational, public institutions.

This being the case students were left hanging by not being able to go to school/colleges, as the lockdown made it hard for the institutions and the students to make further progress in their education. This shutdown caused a huge breakdown not only to the economy of the world but also to the lives of students, with exams being postponed for school students and semesters being held on hold.

Delay in the commencement of the new batch due to coronavirus:

It also has made the admissions to defer from its usual time range, as it begins every year by June or July in India. This year, however, has confused the entire world or in our case India as there is no certainty as to when the lockdown might end completely, stopping/pausing all admissions around the world.  State governments are planning to start classes through digital media.

Delay in semester completion due to coronavirus:

Students across the world and in India worry if their course period would get extended or dragged as there are cancellation of classes due to this shutdown and because of the delay in the completion of the semester as planned. But this fear is being overcome as the universities across India or the entire world is Wi-Fi enabled, making online classes and online exams take up the place of the regular process until campus reopens.

Academic events on hold/cancelled due to coronavirus:

Many universities have already cancelled or pressed the pause button for some academic events such as summer internships, convocation, student exchange program etc.

But all this aside, there is still hope for the best to out of this, as students across the world are using this opportunity to enrich themselves knowledge by attending online webinars, virtual conferences, digital online courses any many more.
