Disney+ Hotstar, a video-on-demand streaming service, recently signed a multi-year deal with Prime Focus Technologies (PFT) for CLEAR Production Cloud, a multi-cloud technology-enabled media ERP software for their Originals content. CLEAR Production Cloud, will be handling collaborative production workflows and security for Disney+ Hotstar’s Originals content.
Through this virtualized collaboration Disney+ Hotstar, owned by The Walt Disney Company India, aims to meet their requirements of automating the production and supply chain for their latest Originals content through CLEAR Production Cloud. With the COVID-19 pandemic inevitably impacting the Media and Entertainment industry, leading to the shutdown of theatres across the country, the focus has now shifted to these online subscription-based video streaming services.
CLEAR Production Cloud, through this collaboration, will be working with Disney+ Hotstar’s production team to bring in digital content services like- flexibility to log in from different locations, along with added features that would enable the team to easily upload, review, approve, edit and share the Originals content.
CLEAR Production Cloud would help Disney+ Hotstar Originals content creators to drive creative enablement by offering user-friendly features like an effective search engine, customizable projects homepage, mobile (iOS and Android) and Apple TV support, accompanied by a next-gen HTML5 Player.
Prime Focus Technologies through their transformation solution, CLEAR Production Cloud aims at strengthening Disney+ Hotstar’s security operations and administration control by ensuring threat protection through 256-bit encryption, Just-In-Time visual watermarking and Okta Single Sign-On (SSO).
CLEAR Production Cloud would digitally mediate Disney+ Hotstar’s enterprise production workflows and automate the content supply chain for their Originals content by working with the team to manage multiple operations ranging from pre-production preparation files and check-lists, schedules, scripts, production dailies, to post-production cuts all on ONE software.
Prime Focus Technologies (PFT), headquartered in Culver City, California has been managing production workflows in Hollywood for over 10 years. This multi-year deal for CLEAR Production Cloud with one of India’s biggest studios, Disney+ Hotstar, opens the way for PFT to enter into the Indian virtual media and entertainment segment.
