DistroTV now onboards South-Asian channels

DistroTV, also a sub-brand of DistroScale, which is a California-based media company has declared an imminent stake in the free, AD-supported streaming platform, announced plans to transform distribution and monetization of content for creators and broadcasters around the globe.

Its free-to-air OTT platform which mainly provides the content to UK, US, and Canadian audiences, has made it a lot more easy to market, distribute and monetize content without any cost. Navdeep Saini, co-founder, and CEO of DistroScale, the parent company of DistroTV made a statement that nowadays, content creators and broadcasters face several challenges. The cost of content delivery, the question of understanding how to best drive viewership, and how to successfully market and monetize their content, make them struggle a lot.

DistroTv aims to address all the problems to ensure that content creators can focus on their craft and deliver quality content to the viewers. DistroTV has successfully added more than 150 channels, including Us Weekly, EuroNews, NBC, Canela TV, and more. It has also decided to offer premiere Indian content through a free service called DistroTV Desi. DistroTV has made sure that all content is accumulated in one OTT platform, users can get access to both VOD and Liner-TV content together. The platform is free as it absorbs all costs associated with content delivery, streaming, and marketing so that broadcasters and content creators do not need to invest or incur any infrastructure costs.

Utilizing its wide networks and good relationships with advertisers, DistroTV also monetizes content for all clients. DistroTV also provides transparency to its content owners with its LIVE Dashboard that allows real-time and direct access to key viewership and revenue metrics at any point in time, unlike other streaming providers. The free bundle service of it offers a variety of diverse content mainly focusing on lifestyle, news, and entertainment subjected toward the South East Asian population abroad and airs in their native languages including Hindi, Punjabi, and Gujrati among others. Recently added channels that include Zoom, Republic World, Republic Bharat, Mastiii TV, Times Now, Zoom. The company has also addressed that they are going to add a further 15 to 20 more channels that include regional languages like Tamil, Telugu & Malayalam.

DistroTV has plans to scale this operation over the next 10 to 18 months into other international markets as well.
