Equitas’ illustrates this commitment by portraying the inspiring story of Rajakumari from Chennai, who, after facing immense hardship, found stability and opportunity through the bank’s support.
Equitas SFB played a crucial role when Rajakumari’s life took a positive turn through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. After facing challenges of raising her son on the streets of Chennai following the loss of her husband, Equitas’ CSR outreach identified her for the Birds’ Nest programme to provide her a permanent home. Equitas further helped Rajakumari in her entrepreneurial spirit as she established her own food stall business with the funds provided by the SFB, showcasing the true essence of empowerment.
