Cargill’s Gemini Sunflower Oil, Maharashtra’s leading cooking oil brand has launched a new campaign urging people to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi at home in order to maintain the safety regulations.
With the upcoming festive season, people are gearing up to celebrate the much awaited festival of Ganesh Chaturthi, which is the most popular festival in Maharashtra. Every year the festival is celebrated with huge fervour throughout the country but in the current situation of a global pandemic, the celebrations are expected to be low key.
Gemini Sunflower Oil released its latest ad campaign ‘Iss Saal Har Ghar Pandal’ to keep the festive spirit alive and to spread awareness about the safety norms that need to be followed.
Conceptualised by Wavemaker, the prominent media agency network, the campaign encourages people to celebrate the festival in the safety of their homes with their near and dear ones, ensuring that the social distancing norms are in place.
The brand will also provide additional offers to the consumer living in Mumbai and Pune in the form of discount coupon codes. To avail the discount Coupon codes, the consumer will have to click a picture of the bar code on any Gemini oil pack and WhatsApp it to 8884000666. Along with the coupon code a web link will be shared which will redirect the consumer to the campaign website www.geminicookingoil.expree.in from where eco-friendly ganapati idols can be purchased by using the coupon code. The idols will be delivered by Gemini Sunflower Oil’s team to the consumer’s postal address. This initiative will enable people to immerse the idols within the safety of their houses, making the celebrations safe and eco friendly.
The campaign is also being supported by various celebrities and influencers including Genelia and Ritesh Deshmukh, Amruta Khanvilkar, Neha Pandsey, Priya Bapat and Sai Tamhankar. The celebrities will spread the brand’s message to the audiences.
As per Karthik Nagarajan, Chief Content Creator, Wavemaker, the brand understands the importance of Ganesh Chaturthi in the Maharashtrian culture and wants to spread the festive spirit along with the message of safety.
Gemini’s campaign is an ode to the culture and the festivals as it has been a part of the Maharashtrian household for a long time.
