CCTV camera is a technology developed the third eye, protecting us from crimes and serving as an important piece of justice when there seems to happen one. Anyone can afford and install CCTV cameras. But are these effectively used by the citizens?

Choi-Fitzpatrick, professor at the University of San Diego, introduced the concept of The Good Drone, which introduces us to how the majority of the public uses drones for ulterior purposes such as documenting human rights abuses, anti-poaching advocacy and researching climate change research. Choi and his students, with the help of technology, scraped the internet, logging incident reports, and media stories on negative drone usage to create an algorithmic machine. He says the data proved that more often than not, that “the smallest categories were for spying and crime”.

Social movements and protests against government frauds have been a massive contributor to the society and help in writing histories. Let’s take the current Black Lives Movement that initiates the primary concern of discriminatory behavior towards Black (African-Americans) but also adds on the concept of race as a whole. Some of the individuals among the protestors could be opposers dressed as supporters to infiltrate information regarding the movement and its plans to the police officials so they take action against those individuals.

The use of drones as a good method to conduct social movements wisely and without violence or worse opposers. Social changes around us are often affected by technology, knowingly or unknowingly. There have been several instances where technology played a crucial role such as the spread of #metoo movements to the current poverty situations in Palestine. However, it also plays an implication to raise awareness but is also crucial in raising the cost of the status quo.

We are unaware of the changes that happen around us, mostly are technological. The effects it has on our life and lifestyle is what influences our decisions. Choi-Fitzpatrick believes that a drone used appropriately can help in detecting certain changes in society and can impose changes. Like climatic fluctuations caused by misuse of chemical waste is a major concern. He intends to incorporate other drone-like devices such as kites, balloons, satellite equipment, etc.
