The admissions procedure for post-graduate diploma courses in mass communication and journalism has begun at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC). IIMC admissions will begin this year with the Central University Entrance Test (CUET), which will be administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Interested candidates should apply online at https://cuet.nta.nic.in/. The deadline to apply for IIMC admissions in the year 2022 is June 18, 2022.

The NTA will hold an entrance test with the CUET PG for admission to the PG Diploma in English Journalism, PG Diploma in Hindi Journalism, PG Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations, PG Diploma in Radio and TV Journalism, and PG Diploma in Digital Media at IIMC. Following that, a counseling process will be used to determine admittance to various courses. The IIMC Prospectus will soon contain the necessary information. The entrance examinations for the PG Diploma degrees in Odia, Marathi, Malayalam, and Urdu Journalism, on the other hand, will be held independently, and application forms will be available soon on the IIMC website www.iimc.gov.in.

In charge of admissions Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university can apply for admissions to IIMC, according to Prof. Govind Singh. Students who have taken or are taking their Bachelor’s degree final year/semester examinations are also eligible to apply.The entrance test for admission to the PG Diploma in English Journalism, PG Diploma in Hindi Journalism, PG Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations, PG Diploma in Radio and TV Journalism, and PG Diploma in Digital Media will be conducted by the NTA in collaboration with the CUET PG.

Admission to various courses will thereafter be handled through a counselling process, the specifics of which will be published in the IIMC brochure soon. In charge of admissions Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university would be eligible to apply for admissions to IIMC, according to Govind Singh. Additionally, students who have taken or are taking their Bachelor’s degree final year or final semester exams are eligible to apply. Candidates’ admission will be contingent on them submitting an original mark sheet/certificate from their college or institution by September 30, 2022, if they are chosen. Only if the original degree certificate is shown for verification at the IIMC office at the end of the course will students be given a diploma.
