Bumble’s dating credo attempts to empower Gen Z and millennials to take control of their dating lives by flipping age-old negative attitudes and bad dating advice like “Wait for them to call first,” “The man should always pay on dates,” and “Don’t be too picky.”

Women in India have been socialized to wait for males to initiate a discussion, but it’s past time for us to break free from these archaic gender roles and take the initiative.
