Koo App: The official social media partner of ‘Aadi Mahotsav’ 2021

Aadi Mahotsav is a national tribal festival of India conducted by the collaboration of the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation (TRIFED) and the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India.

Initiated in the year 2017, the Mahotsav is observed regularly every year. In its fifth edition, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs chose the Koo App as the official social media partner for the Aadi Mahotsav, 2021.

Aadi Mahotsav, 2021 is held from November 16-30 at Dilli Haat, New Delhi. The event is inaugurated by Shri Sukhram Munda, grandson of Birsa Munda, the tribal freedom fighter.

Other dignitaries in the inauguration ceremony include Arjun Munda, the Union minister for tribal affairs, MP MC Mary Kom, boxing star, and Ramsinh Rathwa, chairman of Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED).

Aadi Mahotsav is an event to celebrate the spirit of tribal life. The festival introduces the mainstream population to the colorful culture and lifestyle of tribals. 

Their cultures, craft, art, paintings, medicine, folk performances are brought into the limelight for the whole world to watch, explore, and enjoy.

The Aadi Mahotsav aims to acquaint people with the rich and diverse culture and crafts of tribal communities across India. 

The event becomes a platform that not only expands tribal commerce but provides equal opportunities and support to the underprivileged tribes to get a bigger market for displaying and selling their arts and crafts. 

The Mahotsav ground consists of 200 stalls furnished with tribal merchandise. The 15-day event showcases the participation of over 1000 tribal artisans. 

Koo app is a multi-lingual, micro-blogging platform launched in March 2020. Recognized as the Voice of India, Koo is popularly known as a homemade substitute for Twitter.

Koo is an initiative that supports Atma Nirbhar Bharat, a vision by Narendra Modi to make India self-reliant.

The app is available in 13 local languages like Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bangla, Assamese, Gujarat, etc.

This Indian micro-blogging platform becomes a site where Indians can articulate their feelings, ideas in their native language.

Thus, selecting the Koo app as the official partner for the Aadi Mahotsav, exclusively arranged to celebrate tribal culture, commerce, cuisine, becomes a rightful decision.
