Mumbai, September 2, 2026: Laqshya Media Group has secured exclusive advertising rights at Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport (Vizag), the new greenfield airport at Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram district, Andhra Pradesh. The airport now carries all scheduled commercial traffic for Visakhapatnam under IATA code VTZ. It currently handles 52 to 54 air traffic movements and approximately 7,000 passengers a day, with an initial design capacity of six million passengers a year.
Visakhapatnam is one of Andhra Pradesh’s main commercial and industrial centres, anchored by its port economy and growing activity in manufacturing, technology, logistics and tourism. Bhogapuram gives the city, North Andhra Pradesh and southern Odisha a larger domestic and international gateway. For Andhra Pradesh, it strengthens the eastern coastal corridor connecting trade, industry, technology and tourism.
For advertisers, the opportunity starts with an audience that already exists inside an entirely new terminal. Laqshya will develop the airport as one coherent media environment, using digital, static, branded and experiential formats around passenger movement, dwell time and the terminal’s architecture.
Bhogapuram becomes the fourth airport in Laqshya’s media portfolio, alongside Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad; Cochin International Airport; and Noida International Airport. It also deepens Laqshya’s long-standing relationship with GMR and gives the portfolio a clear eastern anchor.
