Nykaa launches its Global Store for Indian Customers

Nykaa  is an Indian lifestyle retailer of beauty, wellness, and fashion products that was founded by Falguni Nayar in 2012. In 2015, the company expanded from online-only to an omnichannel model and began selling products apart from beauty. In 2020, it retails over 2,000 brands and 200,000 products across its platforms. 

Nykaa  has multiple e-commerce platforms across websites and mobile apps and also has 76 offline stores. The company has recently launched its Global Store that aims to bring international beauty brands to Indian customers through an e-commerce platform. The Global Store can be easily accessed through the Nykaa mobile app.

The brands should be fully compliant with all Indian e-commerce regulations on imports and will display an all-inclusive price that is inclusive of all customs duties and taxes. The consumers will be required to provide KYC details as per the government regulations. Within 7 to 20 days the orders will be shipped from the offshore center to the customer’s doorstep directly. To deliver its promise of authenticity Nykaa will accredit only a vendor to each brand. Nykaa brings a strong network of authorized retailers of international brands to India through this Global store.

The platform offers labels from countries across the world including the US, Finland, Australia, Dubai, and South Korea, among others. These brands have been carefully selected and chosen based on global trends. The focus will be mainly on science-based clean beauty, plant-powered haircare, skincare concerns, artisanal beauty, and mineral-based makeup.

The Global Store includes some of the prominent brands that are the recently launched Dr. Barbara Sturm, Pur Cosmetics, Butter London, Cosmedix Skincare, Erno Laszlo Skincare, and Rodial among others.

The Nykaa Spokesperson said that “they are excited to launch the new Nykaa Global store. We have witnessed the demand for a diverse range of international brands from consumers over time, those brands have faced many challenges in the olden times to enter into the Indian market. This Global Store mainly aims at effective bridge the gap between global brands trying to get in the Indian market and customers who need to shop for the best of the brands”.He also said that “Nykaa Global Store will continue to empower its customers by democratizing the access to a host of international brands by giving them choice, authenticity, and convenience.“
