India is on the verge of a stunning economic comeback, having administered 100 crore vaccination shots and resuming normal operations.

The economic recovery has boded well for all company verticals, particularly the real estate sector, which is seeing green shoots and buoyancy across categories.

The real estate industry sometimes referred to as the “engine of the economy,” ranks third among the 14 major sectors in terms of direct, indirect, and induced effects. The Union government is sustaining this sector’s expansion by injecting new life into it through progressive infrastructure spending, which is quickly becoming a major development driver.

As a media house dedicated to economic growth, TV9 Network, in collaboration with Orient Bell, has created ‘Building a New India,’ a program that examines how the real estate sector’s objectives connect with the New India vision.

The network is planning a series of dialogues around India, bringing together a panel of veterans who are all real estate specialists and well-known policymakers. The panels will mostly address housing, retail, hotel, and commercial issues.

With things coming back to normal, the realty industry is steadily developing with a growth cycle that would witness better infra-affordability in the country,” said Raktim Das, Chief Growth Officer, TV9 Network.

On the 11th of December 2021, notable speakers including Balvinder Kumar, Member, UPRERA; Manoj Gaur, CMD, Gaursons; Nayan Raheja, Director, Raheja Developers; Kavi Jain, Architect, Nirman; and Ashish Agarwal, Director, Aditya Builders spoke at the series’ finale event at Hotel Oberoi in Delhi.

The conversation on the topic of Housing for New India: Are Policy, Builders, and Homeowners on the Same Page centered around technological advancements, policy pushes, and capital infusion, providing a comprehensive view of real estate investment.

“A real estate crisis developed about 2008 and peaked by 2014,” said Balvinder Kumar, a member of the panel representing UPRERA. The law was revised to include the RERA at a period when many purchasers and builders were experiencing many issues and disagreements.

In Uttar Pradesh, the procedure began around three years ago, and since then, we have filed 39,600 cases, the majority of which have been resolved.

“RERA has played a significant part in regaining the public’s faith, and with the market showing signs of improvement, builders have begun to complete their projects in a more ordered manner.
