A few days before, Samsung Galaxy Fold 2, the company’s fourth folding handset, came to the Indian market. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is the fourth model in its foldable line-up, offering a range of new features, interface improvements, and a blazing new chipset.  The Galaxy Fold 2 comes with a foldable interface and, besides a 7.6-inch main screen, has a 6.2-inch Infinity-O cover frame. A 120Hz refresh rate comes with the smartphone. It is a  5G compatible device and comes with a battery of 4500mAh with fast charging support.

The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is still a bulky and heavy device when compared to its predecessor, the Fold 2 has a wider (6.2-inch) screen outside and a stronger screen inside. The outside panel is now somewhat more useful, but it is still incredibly small, with an aspect ratio of 25:9.

On the other hand, the interior of the device now has a refresh rate of 120Hz, a feature that nowadays has become a standard on smartphones. The Galaxy Fold 2 feels impressively fast between that and the Snapdragon 865 + chipset inside. The configuration adjustments are seamless, and in order to save power, the screen will adjust the refresh rate adaptively.

The Fold 2 is also not water or dustproof, but even before that spec became standard for flagship devices.  Samsung spoke about the Fold 2 ‘s self-dusting hinge when the Fold 2 was first unveiled, if they could create that technology, water, and dustproof certifications shouldn’t be too hard to incorporate either. The Fold 2 ‘s cameras are flagship-grade, but not the best of the best. On its back, it has three 12MP sensors. The telephoto lens is 2x zoom capable and has two 10MP selfie shooters.

This latest foldable smartphone, introduced as the successor to the original Fold, comes at a more affordable price than its predecessor at Rs 1,49,999 and is currently available for pre-order from the website of Samsung. It is expensive, but built on emerging technology and does less than a phone like the OnePlus 8 Pro, iPhone 11, or the Samsung Galaxy S20 or Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will do. But, right now, a regular handset is a safe option for most regular users and not one with a foldable screen.
