Samsung India reorganizes its team

On an initiative to improve its organizational efficiency, Samsung India has added three teams to its leadership team. The move made on Wednesday also aimed to enhance its customer experience and expand its footprint.

C.H. Choi will be heading the South Korean based company’s consumer electronics business in India. The business network will be led by Jinsock Lee. Jongbum Park will continue as the head of the mobile division.

Recently, the company merged its mobile and consumer electronics divisions into a single entity. Jong-Hee Han is its chief executive officer. The company made this move as a part of the global restructuring exercise.

Dipesh Shah continues as the managing director of Samsung R&D Institute in Bengaluru. He will additionally head the newly created Indian Customer Experience (ICX) and Business Strategy team. The focus of the Indian customer experience and business strategy team will be to create multiple device experiences for consumers.

Akash Saxenaa will head the enterprise division. Sumit Walia is set to take up the corporate marketing and direct-to-customer team as well. The company said that Asim Warsi, who used to be the chief marketing officer, would be stepping down from his role and taking up a different path. He will continue his presence with Samsung India as an advisory.

As the head of sales, marketing and operations for consumer electronics, Mohandeep Singh was appointed. He used to be the senior vice-president of sales and retail marketing at Samsung. Previously he has also served at Philips India and Asian Paints.

Raju Pullan will take charge as the head of sales and retail in the mobile division. And Product Marketing will be led by Aditya Babbar. He was a VP, the senior director and the head of marketing for the mobile business.

Samsung India’s operating revenue grew 0.5% in FY21 and reached 75,588 crores, according to Tofler, a business intelligence platform. 6% growth seen in its mobile business year-on-year FY21 to 55.397 crores.

The reshuffle will support the various businesses of the company. It will help to deliver an enriching and meaningful experience for the consumers. It would also help further expand in India and drive innovations in technology.
