February 10, 2025, PARIS – Taking part for a second time, the Saudi Culinary Arts Commission shone a spotlight on the diversity of the Kingdom’s local delicacies by offering visitors a unique and authentic experience at SIRHA 2025. Celebrating the story of flavors and the traditions they carry, the event was inspired by the power of food to serve as a cultural bridge and unite people and communities.
Mayada Badr, CEO of the Saudi Culinary Arts Commission, said: “Food is a universal language and at the heart of culture. Sharing recipes and flavors allows us to transport the senses, wherever we are, and travel across the world. Our presence at SIRHA highlighted the Kingdom’s culinary offerings and provided new and exciting opportunities for our local producers to showcase homegrown Saudi products and ingredients on an international scale.”
To portray the diverse culinary tapestry present in the Kingdom, the Taste of Saudi Culture booth at SIRHA gave visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the country’s leading specialties and go behind the scenes to discover how these delicacies were made.
The Saudi coffee experience was one of the main attractions. As a gesture of Saudi hospitality, visitors were served authentic Saudi coffee, also known as gahwa, by a Saudi coffee expert. This timeless ritual reflected the Kingdom’s culture and generosity, providing a warm welcome to all guests.
The Taste of Saudi Culture booth also included a live cooking station where talented Saudi chefs demonstrated their culinary skills. From Jareesh and Kleja to Louqaimat and more, visitors witnessed the preparation of iconic dishes and savored fresh flavors.
More than 50 other products such as dates, honey, and Hasawi rice were also presented onsite, showcasing some of the Kingdom’s various culinary specialties.
The Saudi Culinary Arts Commission booth was open to the public from January 23 to 27 from 9 AM to 6 PM at booth number 2.1J54, 2.1K54 in Hall 2.1.
