South Indian Starlet as McDonalds India’s Brand Ambassador


McDonald’s India has launched its new campaign with the south Indian Actress Rashmika Mandanna as the brand ambassador to celebrate the deliciousness of the all-new McSpicy Fried Chicken. McDonald’s restaurants in India are owned by Westlife Development, a subsidiary of Hardcastle Restaurants Pvt Ltd.

 McDonald’s recently made a tempting and mouthwatering addition to their line of extensive chicken offerings. The brands stepped on to the category of fried chicken with the launch of their new product McSpicy Fried Chicken. The all-new McSpicy fried chicken is made with the best quality of chicken that has been marinated with Ghost pepper chilies, specially crafted to please the palates of fried chicken lovers. McDonald’s lovers now have an extra option to choose from their extensive line of products that include McSpicy Burgers, McPuff, fries, McChicken Nuggets and, a wide range of chicken burgers.

Rashmika was chosen as the brand ambassador by McDonald’s India to capture the markets of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and, Karnataka, by connecting with the millennials. The company asserts the campaign as a major event that would help to gain market leadership. The new integrated campaign will have a multi-prolonged approach with a media mix of TV, digital and social platforms along with strong in-store visibility, on-ground, and OOH activations.

Two cheery and quirky TVCs were launched as part of the new campaign where Rashmika Mandanna is seen relishing the new McSpicy Fried Chicken with her friends. Both the ad films show her enjoying the mouthwatering fried chicken and even the thought of having something else is just a preposterous idea. One of the ads features how Rashmika is enjoying a McSpicy Fried Chicken meal with her friends. When one of her friends suggests trying something new other than the same product, all are stunned for a moment and burst outs into laughter realizing how idiotic and absurd the suggestion was. The ad shows how they love having McSpicy Fried Chicken and would prefer to have it all day every day.
