TAM AdEx: During July 21 compared to July 20 advertising on TV raised by 14%

TAM AdEx‘s statement on Ad Strategies for Television states Advertising on TV raised by 14% during Jul ’21 compared to Jul ’20.

Ad Volumes increased in all weeks of July ’21 over the same weeks in July ’20, with the highest growth (16%) happening in week 1 of July’21.

By July 21, Brand Image, Ecom-Education, and Tea were the new competitors among the Top 10 categories. Overall there were 170+ growing categories present in Jul’21 compared to Jul’20 on TV.

Television observed 40+ new categories, 1.2 K+ new advertisers, and 2.1 K+ new brands during Jul’21.

TV Ad Volumes Trends are the Overall Ad Volumes on TV raised by 14% during Jul’21 compared to Jul’20. Without the Sports genre, the improvement in July’21 over July’20 was 13%.

Ad Volumes on Television increased in all weeks of July’21 compared to the same weeks in July’20, with the highest growth (16%) in week 1 of July.

Tally of categories, advertisers, and brands grew by 4%, 8%, and 11% during Jul’21 compared to Jul’20.

The top 10 Categories on TV are toilet Soaps maintained its 1st rank in Jul’21 over Jul’20, followed by Milk Beverages on 2nd place. Brand Image, Ecom-Education, and Tea were the new competitors among the Top 10 categories in Jul’21. The top 10 divisions added 33%share of Ad Volumes in Jul’21.

The top Growing Categories on TV are Brand Image category saw the highest wave in Ad Volumes with an increase of 3.5 times followed by Ecom-Education with 2.8 times increase during Jul’21 compared to Jul’20.

The top 10 Advertisers on TV are Hindustan Unilever and Reckitt Benckiser India were the top two advertisers with 15% and 11%share of Ad Volumes. Amazon Online India, Cadburys India, and Colgate Palmolive India saw a positive rank change.

Pepsi Company and Procter & Gamble were the new candidates in the Top 10 advertisers’ list, having 42%share of Ad Volumes.

The top 10 Brands on TV are Dettol, which was the top brand during Jul’21 supported by Delhi Skill & Entrepreneurship University. A total of 3.4K+brands were present on TV.

The Top 10 brands had 11%share of Ad Volumes among which 4 related to Reckitt Benckiser.

 Top 10 New Categories, Advertisers, and Brands on TV are 40+new categories, 1.2 K+ new advertisers, and 2.1 K+ new brands promoted throughout Jul’21 compared to Jul’20.

Sugar Delhi Skill & Entrepreneurship University was the top new promoter followed by Perfetti Van Melle India. Dettol topped among the new promoters.
