William Grant & Sons Expands India Footprint with Entry into Andhra Pradesh

The market entry marks a further step in the company’s strategy to expand its distribution footprint and strengthen its presence across key growth markets in India

Andhra Pradesh, 28 October 2026: William Grant & Sons, the independent, family-owned global spirits company, today announced its entry into Andhra Pradesh, marking the next step in the company’s continued expansion across India.

The launch brings a selection of William Grant & Sons’ leading global brands to the state, including Glenfiddich 12-Year-Old and 15-Year-Old Single Malts, Monkey Shoulder, Hendrick’s Gin and Grant’s whisky portfolio. The first phase will focus on building availability across priority retail and on-trade channels in key urban and commercial centres, followed by a phased expansion across Andhra Pradesh.

The market entry forms part of William Grant & Sons’ broader strategy to deepen its distribution footprint in India, improve access to its portfolio and build a sustained presence across strategically important growth markets.

Kartik Mohindra, Managing Director, William Grant & Sons India, said, “Andhra Pradesh is an important addition to our India footprint and represents the next step in the continued development of our business in the country. As we expand, our focus is not simply on entering new markets, but on building them thoughtfully, with the right portfolio, strong trade partnerships and sustained investment behind our brands.”

He added, “We see meaningful long-term opportunity in Andhra Pradesh. Our approach will be to build strong availability, develop the right channel mix and create relevance for our brands in a way that reflects the evolving premium spirits consumer in the state.”

William Grant & Sons will build its presence across both retail and on-trade channels, working closely with distributors, retailers, hotels, restaurants and hospitality partners to establish the portfolio in the market.

Rohit Kumar, Sales Head, William Grant & Sons India, added, “Andhra Pradesh gives us the opportunity to build our portfolio with clear roles across channels and consumer occasions. Our priority is to ensure that each brand enters the market in the right environment, with the right distribution, visibility and trade advocacy behind it. We will begin with a focused set of markets and channels, learn from consumer and trade response, and expand from there. The ambition is to build a strong portfolio where each brand can contribute meaningfully to the growth of the market.”

The Andhra Pradesh entry is aligned with William Grant & Sons’ wider India strategy of strengthening its presence across premium spirits categories while building distinct roles for its brands across markets, channels and consumer occasion.
