AB InBev India today announced the launch of two flavorful wheat beers from its homegrown craft brand Seven Rivers that enhances the Indian palate. Brewed for a flavorful India, Seven Rivers is now available in two avatars – Seven Rivers ‘strong’ and 7 Rivers ‘mild.’ Consumers should purchase the Strong variant at their nearest place of business in Karnataka for INR 130 & INR 175 and Maharashtra for INR 165 & INR 210 for 500ml can and 650ml bottle, respectively. These new brews demonstrate AB InBev India’s commitment to providing Indian consumers with distinctive experiences inspired by the country’s rich history and diverse traditions.

Commenting on introducing the new brews, Vineet Sharma, vice chairman of promoting – South Asia, AB InBev, said, “We are thrilled to introduce exciting new brews specially curated for the Indian consumers from the house of Seven Rivers that pay homage to India’s type of flavors. The trend towards artisanal flavored craft beers continues to grow, due to the evolving palate of Indian consumers. We remain strongly committed to elevating consumer experiences and further shaping the craft beer category with high-quality, differentiated offerings just like the launch of the Seven Rivers Brewpub in Bangalore, in partnership with IHCL (Taj Hotels), and now scaling our offering to a bigger audience with the launch of cans & bottles.”

The packaged beers coming from the house of Seven Rivers will always represent local flavors – Be it the zestiness of the orange within the Witbier or the spiciness of clove within the Hefeweizen. Seven Rivers ‘strong’ could be a smooth Hefeweizen that comes during a 650ml bottle and 500ml can.

Made with malted wheat, it’s an exceptionally smooth and sessionable brew, with notes of banana and clove lending it a tasty flavor that’s fruity and spicy at the identical time. On the opposite hand, Seven Rivers ‘mild’ could be a light Witbier with a creamy mouthfeel, exuding a fragile balance of spicy and fruity coriander with orange rind notes. Seven Rivers ‘mild’ could be a refreshing witbier that comes in 330ml bottles, 500ml cans, and 650ml bottles.

The versions are currently accessible in Maharashtra and Karnataka, but will soon be offered in more areas. Seven Rivers, made for India in India, may be a true representation of all things Indian. With brews that complement the Indian palate and therefore the packaging that depicts the origin story of the ingredient.

While consumers with a palate for strong lagers have largely influenced the beer sector, there has been a gradual shift toward less bitter, flavourful, and smooth beverages over the past few years. The shift is primarily driven by the growing popularity of microbreweries and consumers who are more experimentative and like a repertoire of offerings, paving the way for the Indian ale market to carve out a distinct segment for itself.
