Amazon launches a mobile-only plan for Amazon Prime Video


As an effort to bring wider access to high-quality entertainment to every Indian household, Amazon today introduces Prime Video Mobile Edition – a mobile-only plan for just ₹89. This is the first time in any country that Amazon Prime has introduced a mobile-only Prime Video plan for its customers. Prime Video Mobile Edition is a single-user mobile-only plan, which provides SD quality entertainment. Prime Video makes this possible by collaborating with Bharti Airtel (“Airtel”).

As an introductory offer, all Airtel customers can avail of a 30-day free trial by simply signing up to Amazon along with their prepaid bundle plans. After the free trial, Airtel customers can continue to enjoy Prime Video Mobile Edition for ₹89, for another 28-days.

The complete Prime Video pack includes multi-user access, streaming on Smart TV, access to HD/UHD content, and other Prime benefits including ad-free music with Prime Music and free fast shipping on This comes with options of recharging with a 30-day Amazon Prime membership at ₹131 or recharge with a ₹349 pack of 28-day validity of complete services. The recharges can be done through the Airtel Thanks app as well as recharge points across the country.
