Sourav Ganguly, former Indian cricket team captain, and BCCI President have partnered with Classplus, an ed-tech startup, to promote thousands of educators and content creators by becoming a brand ambassador for them. Ganguly announced the initiative on social media.

Started in 2018 by Mukul Rustagi and Bhaswat Agarwal, Noida-based Classplus is an Ed-Tech startup transforming the world of education by providing educators with digital tools and resources to help them become future-ready. With next-generation technology, an industry-first unified platform allows coaching institutes to have their app manage all of their tasks and reach lakhs of students across the country. They have collaborated with Ganguly to launch this first-of-its-kind initiative for edupreneurs in which a prominent celebrity is seen endorsing their local brand.

The video clip he shared on social media features some of Classplus’s many educators and content creators. To promote these edupreneurs, the video uses advanced AI-powered technology to recreate Ganguly’s presence. Ganguly is heard saying in the 30-second clip, “The first step towards achieving your dreams has the right coach.” He then encourages viewers to download the educators’ branded Classplus apps to make their dreams come true.

In a series of tweets, Sourav Ganguly announced that he has partnered with edtech startup Classplus to launch a new initiative to promote educators, teachers, and educational content creators. The initiative, dubbed ‘#dadasupports,’ allows educators and content creators to create a video ad and submit it to the Classplus platform. The ad would then feature Ganguly as their brand ambassador after submission.

“Through this campaign, we want to convey that we truly value the thousands of educators and content creators who work with us as partners.” That is why Sourav Dada is not only our brand ambassador but also theirs. With Dada at their side, we hope to help these edupreneurs expand their reach and take their businesses to new heights,” said Mukul Rustagi, CEO and Co-Founder of Classplus, in a statement.

Classplus has already digitized over 1 lakh educators and content creators and assists them in developing and selling their online courses. This ensures that they can easily monetize their content and grow their online brand. The startup recently raised $70 million in a Series D round led by Alpha Wave Global and Tiger Global, bringing its total valuation to $600 million.
