Dentsu Creative – 3rd Grand Prix, a first for Indian advertising


After earning its third Grand Prix at the Cannes Lions 2022 International Festival of Creativity, Dentsu Creative created The Unfiltered History Tour for Vice Media, a first for any Indian advertising agency. 

In the Social and Influencer Lions category, the campaign took first place and a Silver medal. In the PR Lions category, it also won a Bronze. 

Up to this point, the Unfiltered History Tour has won 11 Lions total, including three Grand Prix, a Gold, four Silver, and three Bronze. India’s collection of Lions is now led by it.

And it’s a hat-trick, said Amit Wadhwa, CEO of Dentsu Creative in India. Three Grands Prix in four days! I’m still struggling to accept this. Here, no day is ever the same as another. Every day has been different and flourishing. We now have two more Grand Prix victories, one Silver and one Bronze. 

And once more, congratulations to each one of our teammates, both current and former, for the commitmentt, brilliance, and excellence they demonstrated throughout this journey to bring us to this point. This is their property. they are all. We still have one day left, and we’re starting to get a little greedy!

With 19 Lions won in a single day, Indian agencies had their best performance. Out of 50 shortlists from five Lions categories, they took home these metals: 

 1. Social and Influencer Lions – 14 shortlists 

2. PR Lions – 13 shortlists 

3. Media Lions – 12 shortlists 

4. Direct Lions – nine shortlists 

5. Creative Data Lions – two shortlists 

 Ogilvy Mumbai’s submission, Shah Rukh Khan – My Ad for Cadbury Celebrations, which was created in association with the media firm Wavemaker, took home two Gold Lions and a Bronze Lion. In the category of the Creative Data Lions, the agency received a Gold. In the Direct Lions category, it also received Gold and Bronze awards. Additionally, it won a Silver Media Lion for Perk Disclaimers for Cadbury Perk.
