Dentsu India announces restructuring

dentsu international, in India, has created a new structure for its creative service line which will bring together agencies along with their digital and PR capabilities under one umbrella to provide a more aligned and collaborative offering to our clients. This redesign named dentsu Creative  will combine the following brands: Dentsu Webchutney, Taproot Dentsu, WATConsult, Perfect Relations, Isobar, Dentsu One, Dentsu India, and Dentsu Impact

The dentsu Creative service line will be led by Amit Wadhwa as its chief executive officer (CEO) in India. Wadhwa will be responsible for the integration, implementation, and coordination of the overall strategy for dentsu Creative in the market. His team at the dentsu India creative service line leadership team will report to Anand Bhadkamkar and the regional dentsu Creative leadership.

Sidharth Rao will be in charge of the brand dentsuMB Group in India as its CEO and will work with the leadership team on dentsuMB’s brand strategy. Shamsuddin Jasani, who already heads the Isobar brand in South Asia as its managing director (MD), will also have an additional role at dentsu Creative and will work with the global and regional leadership teams to help the Isobar practice area.

Anand Bhadkamkar, CEO of India said that this global restructure is about consolidation of capabilities across our brands and businesses to give the best services to our clients and provide those specialisms without any hurdles. The idea is to truly incorporate the #OneDentsu strategy and thus change into a leaner and sharper business partner to brands. The changes in the India leadership team only show a step in the direction to encourage and scale up their ambitions in the market.

In addition to his current role as CEO, dentsu Solutions, the network has promoted Narayan Devanathan as president of Strategy and Integration for India. This role is designed to support and achieve dentsu’s strategic objectives by defining, driving, and implementing growth and other vital initiatives for the market. He will also report to  Anand Bhadkamkar for his additional responsibility as part of the India market leadership team. Whereas, Devanathan will become the  APAC head for the dentsu Creative Strategy & Consulting practice.

Mr. Bhadkamkar also added that Narayan has been phenomenal in driving integration across our units and, he will be supporting the Sri Lanka team in strategy and integration as part of the South Asia integration initiatives across the two markets. He will now take up a regional leadership role as APAC Lead in Strategy & Consulting Practice in the creative service line.  He will work with the Regional and Global leadership teams in the creative service line to aid and develop the area of Strategy & Consulting Practice in the APAC region.
